Conveyor Bearing Selection, Care and Mounting Procedures for
Closed and Open Style Stamped Conveyor Bearings:
  Selection   Storage
Use the best Conveyor Bearing available for the application, consistent with the value of the application. The cost of the best Conveyor Bearing is generally a fraction when compared to field replacement.   If the bearings are to be stored they should be kept in a cool, clean and dry area. Handle Conveyor Bearings with care; keep them sealed in containers until ready for use or installation Conveyor Bearings should not be stored for extended periods of time (more than one year) due to shelf life of the lubricants. Greases tend to precipitate their oils and solidify. Oils dissipate and become tacky, inviting contamination. If storage exceeds this recommendation the Conveyor Bearings should be re-lubricated before use.
